Follow-up General Assembly 2020

Dear Colleagues,

It was a great pleasure seeing so many of you attending our online General Assembly and the informal events before and after the official part. Find the recordings of the event and further material on our website. The minutes of the GA can be found there too. Please check the EAAE homepage regularly.

I would like to highlight three achievements from last year again with my sincerest thanks to all of my colleagues:

– EAAE has signed the Vienna Declaration, a Policy Paper advocating for the full recognition of Artistic Research across Europe, co-written by AEC, CILECT/GEECT, Culture Action Europe, Cumulus, EAAE, ELIA, EPARM EQ-ARTS, MusiQuE and SAR. The next step will be preparations for the revision of the Frascati Manual.

p-EA, the platform of the Education Academy, was launched: EAAE has gathered and is sharing information, which is practical and helpful for the entire community in order to help and inspire. We know how important it is to stay connected and to exchange ideas and solutions with which support our students and teachers during this extraordinary period. The Education Academy has brought together in a fantastic manner the creative mindset of the group.

CA2RE: The Research Academy has pulled through its program for the Erasmus+ project CA2RE+ in an amazing way. Many schools and institutions are involved in the consortium, with most planned events taking place, in virtual format, working smoothly like a Swiss watch: workshops, doctoral training sessions and paper submissions managed via online platforms.

These initiatives will continue, so please get in touch and participate and do not forget to register for the EAAE–ARCC International Conference from 11–14 November 2020 and to submit a paper for the  EAAE/ACSA Teachers Conference from 24–26 June 2021.

We are grateful for your trust in the work of the Council, the Academies, and the Conservation Network, as well as for supporting the community and helping us to promote its growth.

I wish you a successful academic year!

Best regards,
Oya Atalay Franck
President EAAE
