Full time tenure-track professor of Architecture

IE SCHOOL OF ARCHITECTURE AND DESIGN

The IE School of Architecture and Design seeks two qualified candidates in two areas of expertise, for appointments as full time tenure-track professors of Architecture

 Building systems, energy and environmental technologies, architecture and climate, and analysis of building performance

Architectural design, representation, digital technologies, and early-stage design pedagogy.

Candidates should have a strong record of research and professional activity in the relevant field, with a special focus on pedagogical innovation and excellence in teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels. Candidates must have completed a terminal degree in architecture, and should preferably have completed studies at the doctoral level or be in the advanced stages of the doctoral dissertation.

In addition to teaching in the relevant field, the successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating selected coursework in the undergraduate degree, and for strengthening the use of digital fabrication technologies in the design and environmental systems curriculum.

The successful candidate will also be an effective ambassador for IE University and the IE School of Architecture and Design, through scholarly and professional activity.

English fluency is required, proficiency in Spanish is desirable.
