Third EAAE Deans’ Summit
21.04.2023, Brussels
Title: Impact of care, caring for students, for society, for the profession
How can architects take up a role when things become difficult? In times of political uncertainty, inhabiting a fragile earth.
How do we train architectural students to cope with complex environments? How do our curricula and further activities ensure that their social engagement and caring attitude becomes truly impactful?
How do we uncover necessary ‘soft’ skills in our curricula? And how does this relate to other goals of the educational agenda?
In this 3rd Dean’s Summit, we’ll talk about impact-full communication tools, persuasive propositions, convincing presentations, action-based studio’s and necessary caring competences.
The Dean’s Summit is in this perspective a follow up on the theme of the ACE-EAAE Conference.
Your participation is crucial
We believe that your experiences are the driving force behind this Deans’ Summit. May we kindly ask you to actively participate by preparing a short presentation (not longer than 7 minutes)?
The presentations could be about a course, design studio approach, event, lecture or another faculty element using impactful communication tools, persuasive propositions, convincing presentations, action based studio’s, or necessary caring competences, as well as your strategical actions. It can also be about a future idea, an unrealized project or a faculty goal. We would structure the day around different sections (3 x 7 minute talks) followed by table discussions and a feedback session.
You are most welcome to join us as sole participant, since this is also the opportunity for networking and discussions among the deans.
May we ask for your registration via this form before Friday 03.03.2023?
Let us know by replying to this e-mail if you prefer a separate registration form sent to you personally.
The programme will be uploaded here very soon.
