Second EAAE Deans’ Summit

Dear Colleagues,

Deans from European Schools of Architecture have gathered on 18 March 2022, to discuss ways to support students and colleagues outside and in Ukraine. Representatives from Ukraine and neighbouring countries as well as from NBAA have reported about the current local situations. The participants agreed that EAAE’s overview about schools providing support is needed and very helpful. Therefore, all member schools are kindly asked to fill in their data in their school’s profile page by using their login on the top-right corner of the EAAE website. We thank the schools who have already shared their information.

Our Second Deans’ Summit with the topic ‘THINGS CHANGE: Academic leadership in times of dynamic flux and flow’ takes place at Mackintosh School of Architecture in Glasgow on 21 and 22 April 2022. Building on the first Deans’ Summit from April 2021, the event will provide the opportunity to update actions on the EAAE Oslo Pledge for Climate Crisis and Sustainable Future to further discuss the situation in Ukraine. The event is organized in a hybrid format. Please do register here. There is no charge for participation, instead participants are encouraged to make a donation to support organisations dealing with the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine. EAAE warmly thanks the Mackintosh School of Architecture for hosting the event and for its generosity!

We would also like to draw your attention to other upcoming EAAE events:

We are pleased to announce that Politecnico di Torino will be hosting the Annual Conference and General Assembly 2023. More information will follow soon.

Best regards,

Oya Atalay Franck
