In memoriam
It is with deep sadness that we inform you that Prof. Emil Barbu Popescu passed away on January 9th. He was one of the most active members of EAAE, to whose activities he contributed significantly. He was the author of numerous professional projects and realisations and a leading promoter of multiple national and international initiatives to enhance architectural culture and education. The EAAE President, Oya Atalay Franck, Vice-President, Ilaria Valente and the council members express their condolences to the family and all his colleagues at the ‘Ion Mincu’ University.
4th Deans’ Summit, 25.-26.04.2024, Academy of Architecture, Amsterdam
and General Meeting part 1 (financial part)
Under the title TRANSFORMATION, new directions in education,we will be reflecting on the Oslo Pledge together and discuss how our curricula have been transforming. The aim of the summit will be to get inspired by best practices, ongoing changes in curricula, concepts in progress, proposals and other stories. We start on Thursday at 6pm with the keynote by Floris Alkemade, Chief Government Architect of the Netherlands from 2015-2021. Read more and register here as soon as possible as King’s Day (celebration held annually for the king’s birthday) starts the next day.
On Friday, the financial part of the EAAE General Meeting will be on the program.

The 40 shortlisted works for the EUmies Awards 2024
The jury has shortlisted 40 works that create high-quality living environments for everyone from 362 nominations from 20 different countries. Next month the finalists will be announced. Follow the news here!
