Bordeaux Invitation
Dear friends and member schools of the EAAE/AEEA,
Chers amis et écoles membres de l’AEEA/EAAE,
I wish you all a good, interesting and demanding new academic year. I am inviting you to our celebration congress in Bordeaux from August 30th to September 2nd 2017.
This is an important event for European Schools of Architecture: You get updated on what is happening in institutional development, research and education, we provide an excellent arena for discussion and networking, and the EAAE/AEEA celebrates its 40 years of existence. All of this can be enjoyed in the beautiful city of Bordeaux.
During this event the EAAE/AEEA intends to look back on the history of the organization, to reflect on what is achieved, and to look forward and initiate new strategies and actions.
I invite you to follow the EAAE webpage: www.eaae.be. A new webpage will be launched in mid-February. I also encourage you to follow the EAAE Academies – Academy on Education and Academy on Research – and take part in their activities.
This year, the EAAE completes the first Erasmus+ projects and, together with ACE (The architects Council of Europe), invites you to a seminar on the relationship between profession and education in Rome in the beginning of May.
Also remember: The GA in Bordeaux will elect a new EAAE president and vice-president, and establish a new EAAE Council. You are all possible candidates.

Je vous souhaite à tous une bonne, intéressante et exigeante nouvelle année universitaire.
Je vous invite à notre congrès anniversaire à Bordeaux du 30 août au 2 septembre 2017. Il s’agit d’un évènement important pour les Ecoles d’Architecture Européennes : vous pourrez y découvrir l’actualité institutionnelle, en matière de recherche et de formation et nous vous offrons une excellente opportunité de discussion et de networking. L’AEEA/EAAE fêtera ses 40 années d’existence et vous pourrez profiter à cette occasion de la belle ville de Bordeaux.
Durant cet évènement, l’AEEA/EAAE portera un regard sur son histoire, pour mieux comprendre ce qui a été réalisé et pour envisager l’avenir et initier de nouvelles stratégies et actions. Je vous invite à suivre cela sur le site internet de l’association www.eaae.be. Un nouveau site web sera mis en ligne courant février. Je vous encourage aussi à suivre les Académies de l’AEEA – Académie sur la formation et académie sur la recherche – et à prendre part à leurs activités.
Cette année, l’AEEA achèvera son premier projet ERASMUS+ et, en partenariat avec le CAE (Conseil des Architectes Européens), vous invite au séminaire sur les relations entre profession et formation à Rome au début du mois de Mai.
Je vous rappelle enfin que l’Assemblée Générale qui se tiendra à Bordeaux élira un nouveau président et viceprésident et mettra en place un nouveau Conseil. Vous êtes tous des candidats potentiels!

Extra for the former presidents
Dear former presidents of the EAAE/AEEA,
I invite you to take part in the EAAE/AEEA celebration congress in Bordeaux. The organization will be very happy to see you there and look forward to exchange opinions. We will arrange and pay three nights in a hotel in Bordeaux and you are free to take part in the congress and GA, including lunches and dinners. The EAAE is not covering transport to Bordeaux. I am looking forward to see you all there – this should be a memorable event.
