Open position for Assistant or Associate Professor of Architecture

The Department of Architecture, Faculty of Architecture and Design (www.ozyegin.edu.tr/en/architecture ) at Özyeğin University İstanbul Turkey invites international applications for the above-mentioned position; beginning Academic Year 2018-2019 or later.

One faculty position is available for highly qualified individuals to offer undergraduate-level instruction in architectural design and also in theoretical courses. Housed in the Department of Architecture, this appointment will be made at the level of either Assistant Professor or Associate Professor.
Teaching responsibilities will involve five courses and/or studios in total all year around including instruction in design studios as well as theoretical courses in undergraduate and graduate level. Candidates should be actively engaged in an advanced experimental design practice and also in research and publication. Conducting design and/or scholarly creative activities within the school is an important responsibility of the position. Candidates should hold a PhD degree in architecture, and be qualified through advanced scholastic preparation, innovative design investigation and exploration, and/or professional practice.
Placed in the department of architecture, the successful candidate will have the interest and ability to address issues of their field and design across the departments at the OzU – FAD. S/He will be expected to play a role in developing funded research projects, the school’s advanced studies and graduate programs. The new faculty member will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate level courses in English.
