Lecturer in Architectural Design

Applications are invited within the thriving student and academic community of Edinburgh School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture.
The post-holder for the Lecturer in Architectural Design will be able to demonstrate a significant track record of achievement in architectural design studio teaching and the ability to develop reflective and critical design briefs that intelligently address issues of contemporary architectural interest and concern. Applicants should hold a PhD (or equivalent research experience) and both post-holders will be expected to have a commitment to research and the demonstrable potential to deliver high quality outputs through academic publications, exhibitions and/or innovative design projects. Evidence of some academic management experience including successful implementation of subject related initiatives, events and/or projects is an advantage.
The post-holder will be expected to contribute to design pedagogy and research in the Edinburgh School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture and in the wider context of Edinburgh College of Art at the University of Edinburgh.
The posts is open-ended and full-time (35 hours) and tenable from July 2018.
