LAunch2022, architectural engineering work Leuven in the spotlight
26/09/2022 Arenberg Castle Leuven – free admission exhibition, lecture, book launch
Which themes and projects do the architectural engineers of KU Leuven/Department of Architecture deal with and research? An exhibition gives an overview of their work of the past year. And the ‘LAunch2022′ yearbook will be launched with lots of images providing a retrospective of the studies.
Exhibition and networking reception
The exhibition provides a good overview of the design studios and master theses that examine both simple and complex structures, attractive residential environments in a relatively high density with attention to sustainability, the role of buildings and spaces with a public function in the transformation of our cities, … The winning projects of the Alumni Engineer Prize and the sustainable architecture Maarten Bouwen Prize are on display. A networking reception gives the opportunity to meet students and researchers.
Yearbook ‘LAunch2022’
This yearbook will be presented during the exhibition with reception and is partly in Dutch and partly in English with the unique work of the architecture year 2022 in Leuven. Bachelor & master student work, projects from the 3 master-after-master programmes: Conservation of Monuments and Sites (MCMS), Human Settlements (MaHS) and Urbanism, Landscape & Planning (MaULP) and research projects.
