Council member

Sally is the head of the Mackintosh School of Architecture, at The Glasgow School of Art. She studied at the Mackintosh School of Architecture gaining a Bachelor of Architecture (Hons) and Master of Architecture degrees. Qualifying as an architect, she subsequently practiced as an architect, working in regeneration, conservation adaptive reuse and community projects before beginning her teaching practice.

Sally is the MSA lead for the Crafting the Facade Erasmus + project with the University of Liechtenstein and the Amsterdam Academie, which explores the current and future uses of traditional materials such as stone, brick and timber and the development of techtonic and environmental responses through the development of the Facade. She has a fascination in the development of drawing and mapping techniques, tactics and strategies in developing and understanding  creative practice across art design and architecture, and encourages the students she works with to explore the potential of conventions and borrowed practices in their work.

Sally is an RIBA validation panel member and chair, EAAE council member and founder member of the EAAE Education Academy.
