The organizers envisage the best projects editing in an OFFICIAL CATOLOG
Argument
The year 2006 is fingerprinted by the European theme of diversity.
Understanding by this that European outlook celebrates diversity in order to reinforce the rich potential of various identities the “Forgotten places” theme overlaps with a stream of intercultural attention, respect, and interchange.
“Forgotten places” International Competition for Students in Architecture aims to identify, analyze and revitalize a series of places throughout Europe that for various reasons have been left aside from the cities life.
With means specific to architectural design, this approach will eventually guide to a filtered and reasoned database. Focusing on multidimensional spaces chance and means to be revitalized the substance of projects embodies three valuable assets:
* International constituency
* Diversity within a same theme
* Highly valuable international jury:
President Luigi SNOZZI,
Constantin SPIRIDONIDIS,
Emil Barbu POPESCU,
James HORAN,
Per Olaf FJELD,
Leopold LOMBARD-LAFARGE Representative
This is why we express conviction that the Catalog will prove to be an effective tool to heal forgetness and hence will be valued by architects, students in architecture, various professionals and a large public.
